Folds Farm is a 500 acre family run farm set in the New Forest National Park where we run a herd of beef cattle and a Equestrian yard. We breed Cleveland Bay horses, a rare English breed of horse and these can be seen from the many footpaths that wind their way around the farm. We also have a stretch of the famous River Avon flowing through the farm along with rare Water meadows.
The Campsite is situated at the top of the farm on an enclosed field with its own separate entrance directly onto the New Forest. There are numerous cycle-routes and footpaths leading directly from the campsite which provide ideal entertainment for all of the family.
We are just 5 minutes walk from Sandy Balls Holiday village which offers restaurants, bar, shop, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, childrens entertainment, laundry facilities and bike hire.
We provide simple clean campsite for tents and camper vans, sorry we can not accept caravans. All pitches have space for car parking and prices are based upon tent size. Please note we do not offer electrical hookup facilities.
In order to maximise everyone's holiday enjoyment we have a strict no music policy with no noise after 11.30pm and do not accept single sex parties. BBQ's are allowed but must be extinguished by 11.30pm we have set fire pits and portable fire pits to hire.
You are welcome to bring your well behaved dogs - although we do ask that you clean up after them and they are kept under control at all times.
We provide free clean showers with hot running water, clean toilets and fresh running water is provided from standpipes dotted around the site. Washing up sinks are also provided.
At weekends and Bank Holidays we offer a hot snack bar providing Sausage, Bacon and Egg breakfasts all sourced from within the New Forest. There is also a local shop delivery service that visits the site on a daily basis to save the need to spend your holiday grocery shopping - although Woodgreen village shop is a highly recommended visit.
The hamlet of Godshill Wood is just a five minute drive from Fordingbridge and is nestled next to the open Forest and Woodgreen. It is ideally located just 15 minutes drive from Junction 1 of the M27 and 20 minutes from the historic cathedral city of Salisbury. The beaches of Bournemouth are 30 minutes away with the Jurrasic coast making for a great family day out.
The New Forest is steeped in History dating back from Henry the Eight's rein. It was a vital source of wood for his warships and the nearby village of Bucklers Hard still boasts the original slipway and houses, complete with museum showing the history of the era.
Our campsite offers an ideal venue from which to explore the New Forest either on foot, by bike, horseback or why not hop aboard the Open Top bus for a tour of the New Forest.
